I was previously trying a mineral balancing protocol, but was clearly not getting the balance part of it right, as I was still feeling quite low energy. After taking a hair sample to get my minerals tested, I realized I was quite low in potassium and sodium and calcium was way too high. Since modifying my intake, I've had consistent energy throughout the day, almost every day, which is incredible to be honest. Mineral testing is the single best thing you can do for your health, it's well worth it. You get personalized results on how to modify your mineral intake to achieve optimal balance. The only company ive used so far, an will continue to use them and aim to rebalance and progress overall health and wellbeing, very insightful test, aswell as results and information you get back. A worthwhile test to do and get done, as blood tests in my experience havent really told or been productive for me, an any suspected things from my own research and learning, the hair mineral analysis tests come back with what is more relevant and reflective of what seems to be the case or possible issues/issues. The company and team have been helpful and good in any interactions ive had with them. Overall a worthwhile, purposeful test and avenue to take wether you have any problems or would just like an insight onto what may be going on with you or possibly your body.

I'm very glad I chose this test to find out the reason behind some of my health problems... Had I not known I had heavy metals in my body they may well have led too much bigger problems. Also good to know which vitamins and minerals are lower than they should be... I'm now correcting these issues and will re-test in a few months.

Good test and informative analysis report, with detailed descriptions and mineral ratios. Even though mineral test analysis has its own drawbacks and may not be accurate for nutrients, it is very useful for determining toxic metals levels. It was great to see the results and be able to compare them to blood test. It really does give a different perspective on your health and provides additional piece to the puzzle. The test itself arrived well packaged as was easy to do at home with clear instructions. The results were also relatively quick. The price is more affordable compared to other tests on the market. Customer service and communication were superb. Might have to redo this test in a few months to see if the measures have worked. I've had three tests now over the past nine months. The information they are providing is proving to be invaluable in assisting me to understand and personally address recent cardio related health issues by adapting my diet. For me this is far preferable to needing to rely on possibly unnecessary and potentially damaging medicines. Certainly worth the outlay for those who are able to afford this service which imo should be taken more seriously by the nhs.

Highly recommended approach to managing health issues, especially toxic metals. Having completed 2 tests 6 months apart I can tell it is both reliable (similar values on the repeat test but for one or two including those I targeted), and matched other more expensive forms of testing therefore gave me the confidence to use this as my main test (to reduce Hg and aim for better balance of minerals) going forward.

Wow! I am so glad I did this. All those years of experimenting (and lots of guessing) with different approaches, diets and supplements without ever actually knowing your current levels = such a waste of time, money and unresolved health issues! I have completed several tests via Mineral State. Julie is very efficient and the hair tests give excellent insight. I detected a very serious issue in a loved one, wholly unexpectedly using the tests. I was suspicious of elevated levels of Lead but found alarmingly high Arsenic levels instead. The price point is very competitive. for a high quality laboratory test. I came across Mineral State by accident. I was looking to check the fluoride in my body because I work in a place with F-Gas and I had joint pain, constipation and low energy. After many consultations, blood tests, diets and prescriptions without results, I decided out of curiosity to try this hair test. I was very surprised by the result that came with many explanations about the optimal balance of minerals, about toxic metals, foods that should be avoided or included and recommendations for supplements and vitamins to balance minerals and metals. The very high level of potassium, rubidium and nickel plus others that were found after the evaluation, would have cost much more after the blood tests and without such high accuracy. Before taking the supplements I had a video consultation with Julie for to be able to understand better about the level of health. After only 14 days from the recommended supplements and the change in the diet, the health problems described above have improved a lot. Having shopped around and had a number of these tests previously, this is excellent value for money. The instructions were also well thought out and easy to follow. One point to note; I chose the cheaper option, without a consultation overview as I assumed the results would be in line with previous ones- actually not, so would have benefited from the specialist’s views on my rather unusual results. This option is only a little more so worth choosing.

I heard about hair mineral testing at a hair care conference but it was more about identifying vitamins and mineral defiencienes in my mind. When I noticed changes on my hair, I supplemented with vitamins but also thought to look into testing. Through my research, I leaned towards Mineral State as the price was reasonable, the reviews were good but also repeated customers. Hair sample instructions were clear but I also visited the website to view the video. There is alot of information on the site and a sample of the report. The report came in the alotted time after I got an email saying my test was received. It is an extensive report that details not only imbalances but also toxicity within your body that may affect or cause certain symptoms. I took the time to digest and also the advice given on nutrition that would help alleviate this. Even though the company has supplements they dont push them so you can purchase your own. I am impressed with the information given and I feel got value for money.

As we all know, GPs rely on blood tests but this is problematic because the body works hard to maintain homeostasis, and problems won't always show up in the blood. Hair mineral analysis can reveal long-term trends and conditions that cannot be identified by blood testing alone. Julie and her team at Mineralstate do a fantastic service for anyone looking to check their health status via hair analysis, which is utilising proper functional medicine which many of or medics in the NHS dont have time to do these days. I would recommend that EVERYONE should get a hair analysis done at least once a year to check and verify nutrient absoption first and foremost and also of crucial importance is checking for toxicity levels of substances such as mercury, aluminium and even arsenic (the latter can come from seafood or even rice that is not boiled/cooked properly). We should all have Vitamin D tests done twice a year too. If the hair analysis throws up concerns then you can go back after chaing diet or speaking to your doctor and get a 2nd one done a few month later to verify changes you made have had a good health improvement. Have used Mineral State several times over the last 4 years after an episode of urticaria which my doctor only wanted to prescribe steroid cream. Turned out my magnesium was really low, after taking supplements the urticaria cleared and so did chronic constipation. Also saw a big difference in aluminium levels as I switched deodorants.

I have found the hair mineral test a very interesting testing, it is very easy to do not needing needles or any other invasive method and provide plenty of infirmation in the balance of your mineral and presence of toxic metals, for a very reasonable cost. In fact I have ordered further tests for my niece and nephew.

I ordered the canine hair analysis for my allergy prone dog. It was quick and easy to order, and I was kept up to date throughout. Everything was easy and quite smooth. I was updated almost every single day since I posted my hair and always received clear instructions in case I need to contact them or ask any questions. the results re quite specific and it includes plenty of data that I haven't seen before n any of my bloods. The explanations provided with the results are clear and useful and written to be understood by anyone without any medical knowledge. I ordered this test bc my Functional doctor asked me and we have found some good data and explanation of some health episodes that I was facing which, apparently, did not have any explanation. I have decided that this will be my Xmas present for the majority of my family. After having my horses hair tested for a few years, I have also decided to test mine as well. The reports are very insightful and whereas blood tests give you a snapshot of only last 24 hours, the hair tests report on the last 3 months. Very useful for the minerals levels and ratios plus heavy metals, etc and you get suggestions on how to return your system into correct balance. Very thorough results with explanation. I knew there was more to my symptoms than what my bloods were showing up from the GP. The HMTA results totally correlated to my symptoms and I now feel empowered to address the shortcomings in my diet and health. Wow, must admit I did not expect much because a lot of people are sceptical about information taking from hair analysis. But the results are really impressive and a lot of findings were confirmed with blood test that was completed before the hair sample was sent back to the laboratory. I found myself at the peri-menopausal part of life and having read a few books on the subject decided I would like to take supplements. I realised I could only guess what the state of my own nutritional levels were and so decided to use this company for a hair analysis. It was easy to follow the details for cutting and sending a sample, the report came back quickly and had lots of information and guidance on what changes to make within my diet to help. I was also able to purchase the recommended supplements via Linda and with that and changes to my diet I am not perfect I am feeling a lot more my old self and better! I would like to do another analysis to see how I am now but it is quite expensive so maybe continue with these changes for longer and see how I go. Lots of help here and definitely recommended.

Very good test. I have major fatigue and the doctor did some tests and basically said there is no cause and is probably due to daily life! I suspected adrenal fatigue issues and these were confirmed in the hair test. Although I had a blood test a few weeks earlier and there were no signs. I was very surprised to find extremely low levels of boron so I am now taking supplements. I found the ratios interesting and liked the suggested diet. I have ordered the tablets suggested, so I hope to improve within the next 6 months. My husband is now going to do the test too.

Absolutely excellent I've been going to the doctors for years with various ailments to no avail... these results literally gave me all my answers. I haven't bought the supplements yet as I'm currently doing mitochondrial therapy but I now feel empowered by knowing what's going on in my body... also avoiding compounding some other issues... I would advise a urine test at different times of the day after eating or drinking to get an idea of your mercury levels if you are concerned that your amalgam fillings have become toxic . Ethyl Mercury which is produced when you chew or drink hot fluids will not necessarily be picked up .

Just got the basic test. Very helpful as it told me my hair was really high in Mg, off the scale - which you would think was a good thing but I looked up what it meant online and found it can be caused by taking the wrong form of Mg supplement. I was rubbing copious amounts of topical Mg oil into my skin every night to help my sleep as recommended by my GP. Made sense, since I had read Mg tablets can be tough on some people's digestion, so it seemed like a good idea at the time to bypass the GI tract. But when I found out it was the wrong form of Mg, I stopped it immediately. I also started the Medical Medium protocol around that time and am now sleeping through the night on a consistent basis : Now I take magnesium glycinate as my Mg supplement.

Whereas the graphs are a bit complicated to read, the report provides all the necessary explanations so I didn't have to figure it all out by myself. Purchasing this hair analysis test was the best 69 I have ever spent. I had silicone implants removed a couple of months ago, due to them rupturing - many years ago. Excellent value for money and very quick responses if there are any queries. My wife and I did the test and then decided to make the changes it recommended and we brought all the supplements our tests were completely different which made meal planning even more difficult but we decided there was no point having the test done and then not bothering to make the changes! I ordered the hair test in conjunction with some gut tests to try to get to the bottom of a long-standing anxiety condition. I was also concerned I might have high levels of toxic metals. My hair test analysis showed that there was an imbalance of calcium/magnesium in my body. I was lacking enough magnesium, a fundamental mineral in the ability to destress. Found the tests reasonably priced and easy to follow and the post-sale follow up from Linda excellent and the nutritional follow up advice was good. The results were interesting as confirmed some things suspected. We ordered tests for adults and children. The report itself was comprehensive however, with regard to the list of foods to eat or avoid sometimes these conflicted. I understand that there are generic types and then one's specific results but it requires a bit of extra attention e.g. avoid foods with copper and increasing those with magnesium but sometimes a food listed is high in both. In addition, the nutritional advice in the reports could be improved for children. I decided to order supplements just one of us in the family . Unfortunately, they, coupled with the dietary advice, did not work for me. However, they might well work for others. Overall, we were very happy with the service. The tests and the results appeared very accurate and have been useful to us in making changes to our diet and lifestyle.

I have had other hair tests for intolerances, which were very detailed. I found this test to be the same - good amount of detail with user-friendly explanations. I am keen to start the course of supplements, but have to check with my doctor first. I was relieved that I did not have mercury poisoning - worried as I grew up with a mouth full of mercury fillings. A colleague did the test at the same time as I did and our results differed, which is what I was expecting.

I've had two hair mineral tests done and followed a supplement programme for five months, and now I'm having a revised supplementation programme. I have recently had a hair analysis and have been very impressed with the assistance I have received. The report gives a lot of very interesting facts and a suggested diet. I have started the supplements that were recommended and intend to adhere to the advice I have received.

I'm quite a healthy 20 years old but decided to get a mineralstate test done. I recommend one every now and again. It's the 'MOT' for the body in my opinion! Turns out, I'm very acutely arsenic toxic. With this knowledge, it finally explains why I have headaches often. Now that I know my toxin load, I can resolve it very easily and quickly. Linda is helpful as she also gives you tips and advice on just about anything you ask her, but keep questions short and simple! She's clever, educated and MOST IMPORTANTLY; she makes sense. Excellent post-sales service; Nutritional guidance adds real value to the HTMA. However, would really benefit if done as part of a compound analysis involving other biomarkers that would collectively substantiate any underlying root cause of a range of symptoms and the best treatment regimen.

Great service and after care, the results are given via a report but I rang and asked for further clarification and Linda was happy to help I also emailed and the response was quick and efficient. I will proceed with the diet recommendations and vitamins recommended. I received my results back approximately 2 weeks after making my submission along with information on foods to avoid and foods to take together with personalised supplements to suit my needs. The main reason I took this test was to check my calcium, magnesium ratio, however I learned so much more, i.e. I have fast metabolism type 2, with sympathetic dominance. After checking on the internet what this actually means, it seems I am in the "flight or fight" mode, which possibly explains my high blood pressure and why I have severe 'white coat syndrome' when having my BP checked at the Doctor's office. The article I read did mention that people with this type of metabolism usually have high blood pressure. I am now into the 6th week of my programme and new diet, and I can honestly say I have more energy as well as being able to go through the whole day without catnapping. Furthermore, I have lost weight - way hay! For anyone concerned about their health the HMAT should be their first move. For others who have no health issues, the HMAT should be treated as an MOT for the body. The other benefit of this test and recommended diet for me is monetary - I am no longer groping in the dark spending large amounts of money on useless supplements, which were probably doing me more harm than good. Finally, I really must mention the aftercare service I have received from Linda and the Nutritionist, which has been wonderful. I have tested their patience with my awkward questions, which they have answered fully and with kindness. Thank you girls.

Yes, an Interesting find from my hair analysis, which came back in approximately 10 days from posting back the hair sample. Quite a detailed and informative report which took a bit of time to comprehend but my suspicions were correctly found showing mercury levels in my system and a depletion of magnesium, causing all sorts of issues, predominantly Chronic Fatigue Syndrome; poor concentration, confusion, fatigue, aches and pains, low mood, poor memory etc. I have as a result begun a mercury detox program, consisting of Activated Charcoal, Chlorella, Coriander, Garlic, and IMD Intestinal Metals Detox from Quicksilver Scientific, Vitamin C and Magnesium supplements. A major reform in my diet, where sugar and caffeine has been completely taken out and lots of Broccoli and Kale have been introduced as well. I will obtain another Hair Analysis report in 3 month's time and see what changes have taken place. Overall a helpful detailed service that no doctor on the NHS has so far picked up in my 13 years of a downward spiral. Crazy!

I purchased a hair mineral analysis three weeks ago. I received a comprehensive report which outlined the recommended supplements that I required. The service is excellent and the support as promised. So far, I am feeling somewhat better following the regime with more energy, better sleep and a new found consciousness to ensure sufficient protein in my diet. My only caveat is the cost of the supplements as I am on quite a lot for the 3 months. For an Irish person the cost of postage and sterling conversion makes it a difficult choice at the end of each month to purchase non - Irish sourced supplements which is why I choose 4 not 5 stars. Nevertheless, matching supplements through a hair analysis is an excellent way to maintain objectivity in health matters, while also eliminating all those supplements that are perhaps, mostly not specific and not required. I am delighted to have found Mineral State UK.

Very informative, used initially for heavy metal toxicity test mercury in particular - which proved to be at a very low level/O.K , but discovered other useful information concerning my metabolic type and other deficiencies. After sales support was v good.

This is the best hair analysis available online and I have used a few. The test was returned very quickly and the results were laid out clearly. Linda was so quick to respond when I had any questions. The test has shown up some important deficiencies and imbalances. I will be doing another test in six months and will be straight back here to Linda.

I had a mineral test done in the hope it might make me sleep better as I used to have restless legs, the test showed what I was lacking & thankfully after taking the recommended tablets I know longer have restless legs at night. Mineralstate are great to deal with & very prompt at sending tablets out.

I used this test out of interest and not because I was suffering with health issues, my metabolic type was analysed correctly and luckily I have no real issues related to mineral deficiencies according to the test, which I assumed, would be the case. I did the hair analysis for my entire family youngest 3 , which was interesting as there were some common denominators. It was nice to know that all our toxicity levels were very low. We are all requiring more magnesium but that did not surprise me. However, my mineral ratios were all out but one, which I was surprised at. Great value for money. The toxic metals levels are a great bonus, I had been suspecting that I have a high level of toxic metals in my body, just a hunch and a general feeling of fatigue. The level of tin turned out to be elevated, not lethal but high enough to produce these inconclusive symptoms, which to doctors make no sense at all. Fortunately, I now know, thanks to this test. Great report, everything explained thoroughly along with proposed, special, dietary guidelines. With these, I now have a chance of significantly improving my health and general wellbeing.

Insightful and informative with exceptional aftercare and advice. A thorough and supportive service. For me the NHS was simply unwilling to explore the connection of heavy metals with neurological disorders and you really do have to take matters into your own hands if this is an Avenue you want to explore. In my case I considered other tests such as a comprehensive microbiome gut analysis and was told by the private doctor who arranges the tests that these would not be accurate on children under 3 as their gut does not stabilise until that age and the results would be compared to that of a adults so would bring up red flags that simply weren't there. She advised for me the best private test I could pay for was a comprehensive hair analyst. It is relatively inexpensive and has been well worth it in my case unearthing findings I would of never of known otherwise. My own separate research on the back of the hair report leads me to believe Mercury is the root problem. However, if you get a Hair result you find particularly alarming don't expect the NHS to come to the rescue they want every little to do with heavy metals and in particular bio medics but that is only my experience and I wish anyone reading this luck in their own healing journey.

The test was used primarily for testing Mercury toxicity and confirmed this using the counting method. Correctly identified my adrenal exhaustion, my metabolic type and that I have type 2 insomnia where you fall asleep okay but wake in the early hours and sometimes struggle getting back to sleep. Interestingly showed my potassium to be very low, whilst a serum blood test a week later showed a high blood level. The hair test was confirming that the potassium was not being transported to the cells and was much more useful than a blood test. Good value for money.
