How a personalised HTMA interpretation helped a woman better understand her nutritional health.
The Background
A woman had been struggling with her health and was finding it difficult to understand why she felt the way she did.
Like many people experiencing ongoing symptoms, she wanted answers and a better understanding of what might be contributing to how she was feeling.
She decided to undertake Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis (HTMA), choosing to include a personalised video interpretation of her results.
What the Hair Test Revealed

Her HTMA identified several significant mineral patterns, including:
- Very elevated calcium levels in the hair.
- Elevated magnesium and copper.
- Low sodium and potassium.
- Low levels of several trace minerals, including manganese, selenium, chromium and iodine.
- Significant imbalances in mineral relationships, particularly the calcium-to-potassium and sodium-to-magnesium ratios.
Rather than looking at each result individually, the interpretation considered the overall mineral pattern alongside her reported symptoms and health history.
The Nutritional Approach
During her personalised video interpretation, Julie Clark explained the findings in detail, helping the client understand the results and how they could inform her nutritional choices.
The recommendations included reviewing dietary protein, hydration, mineral intake and lifestyle factors, alongside considering appropriate nutritional supplements.
The aim was to provide practical guidance and identify areas that could be explored further through individualised nutritional support.
The Results
For this client, one of the most significant outcomes was emotional.
Receiving a detailed explanation of her results was an overwhelming experience. She felt that, for the first time, someone had listened to her concerns and helped her make sense of what she had been experiencing.
The interpretation provided reassurance, validation and a clearer understanding of the nutritional areas that might benefit from attention.
Although this was the beginning of her nutritional journey rather than a completed programme, having an explanation and a way forward was incredibly meaningful.
Sometimes the first step towards making positive changes is simply feeling heard, understanding your results and knowing where to begin.
This anonymised case describes one client’s experience. HTMA is a nutritional assessment tool and cannot diagnose medical conditions or establish the cause of symptoms.
